Energy Security and Climate Change Program
Geoffrey Kemp, Director of Regional Strategic Programs, and Executive Director Paul J. Saunders co-direct the Center's program on energy security and climate change. The effort focuses primarily on three key issues: How can the United States improve its energy security while addressing the problem of climate change? What will be the impact of the rapidly growing energy demand in China and Asia on U.S. interests? How can the U.S. work with key partners, like the EU and Japan, and other major stakeholders, like China and Russia, to promote cooperative approaches to energy and climate? The program has included a U.S. - European - Japanese dialogue on energy and climate issues, as well as seminars on other related topics.
